You need to register for a Nedbank ID (Nedbank website) before you connect the feed. Direct feeds are only available for customers with online banking (Nedbank website), which requires a Nedbank ID.

  1. In the Accounting menu, select Bank accounts.
  2. Click Add Bank Account, then select Nedbank (South Africa).
  3. Click Login & Connect Accounts.
  4. Enter your Nedbank ID and password, then click Login.
  5. Select the accounts you'd like to connect with Xero, then click Continue.
  6. Log in to Xero, then click Allow access.

You’ll see a message confirming that the bank feed has been set up. Transactions from the day you connect the feed will import overnight. If you want to import prior transactions, you’ll need to manually import them. 

  1. Log in to your Xero organisation. Go to the Accounting tab, then Bank accounts and select Add bank account. 
  2.  Type Nedbank in the Find your bank field and select Nedbank (South Africa).  Note: If you have a Xero organisation set up as your business country in South Africa, this option will appear in your using your Popular banks list.
  3.  You will be redirected to the Nedbank ID API_Marketplace website. Log in with your Nedbank ID.
  4. If you have multiple profiles linked to your Nedbank ID, simply choose the profile associated wuth the account (s) you would like to link to your Xero organisation.
  5. Choose the account(s) you would like to link to your Xero organisation and continue.
  6. You will now be redirected to Xero. Log in with your Xero creddentials.
  7. Grant access to your Xero organisation.
  8. Once the link has been created successfully, you will see an information screen on the Nedbank ID API_Marketplace website.
  9. The above screen will appear only for Xero clients with mulitple organisations. Select the Xero organisation that should be linked to the selected Nedbank account and click on Authorise. 
  10. You can now view your linked accounts from your Xero organisation.
