Eligible account types

Nedbank Business and Personal:

  • Current accounts
  • Savings accounts
  • Credit cards

If your account type isn't eligible for a direct feed, see if a Yodlee feed is available or import your bank statements manually.

How it works

You need to register for a Nedbank ID (Nedbank website) before you connect the feed. Direct feeds are only available for customers with new online banking (Nedbank website), which requires a Nedbank ID.

The Nedbank account you select during the feed set up automatically connects to an existing bank account in your Xero organisation if:

  • The account number in Nedbank exactly matches the bank account in your Xero organisation
  • The currency for the Xero account and Nedbank account are both ZAR
  • There isn't already a feed for the bank account in Xero or Nedbank

If your Nedbank account isn't already set up in your Xero organisation, a new bank account is automatically created in Xero during the set up process.

You’ll need to make sure your statement frequency is set to Daily by Nedbank to avoid any missing statement lines. You can contact Nedbank through your online banking chat feature to make sure this has been set.

You can cancel your Nedbank direct feed at any time from Nedbank online banking or from the Nedbank Money app.
